I have a disk of Afterdark Screensavers, and those won't install off the disk for me, they didn't install off the disk when I was still using an XP laptop, it always comes up with some instillation error, supposedly a missing program. To be honest though, I don't know if it will work. In that case, you would probably need to have a virtual operating system, which is rather redundant for the purpose of a screensaver. The issue with this method though is that if you're referring to the original pre-installed software, it's not trying to save as a separate activatible program, it'll try to save where the other screensavers are. Your best bet, if you're even able to install it, is to run it in compatibility mode so that it's comparing to an older operating system. Most programs that old are difficult to run compatible with modern software without using emulation or virtual software.
